MY DESIRED PHILANTHROPIC IMPACT:
- Make progress on the racial wealth gap and promote wealth equality in America.
- Be more intentional about the organizations I work with and time spent doing the work in helping normalize black and brown wealth.
- We will allocate 50% of our giving to organizations that have a history of success promoting wealth equality, especially organizations that are run by people of color to benefit people of color.
- We will allocate another 50% to various organizations that are focused on the well-being of Black and Brown communities.
- Less than 3.5% of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS™ are Black and Latinx. As part of the CFP board's mentoring program, I will continue to mentor specifically Black and Latinx aspiring financial planners to help increase this number.
Annually, we will donate:
- a % of our gross revenue (determined before fiscal year end)
- Commit minimum 10 days to volunteer to local non-profits
- 4 pro-bono financial literacy workshops in partnership with local non-profits
- Provide 1:1 pro-bono financial planning to at least four underprivileged families
My goal is to increase volunteer and financial donations annually as the company scales.
